Pride Advice 2026: What Not to Do This June

Pride Month is coming, and with it, a familiar pattern.


Organizations show up with strong statements, visible support, and well-intentioned messaging. And then, just as quickly, it fades when July 1 comes around.


At the same time, policies are shifting in ways that have real, everyday impacts on LGBTQ people and communities.


That gap between what organizations say and how they show up is hard to ignore.


In this year’s Pride advice post, I take a closer look at that disconnect and offer practical ways businesses, nonprofits, and individuals can think about showing up in a way that is more aligned, more consistent, and more meaningful.


Because this isn’t about doing everything. But it does require being intentional about what you’re willing to stand behind.
